A Certain JESUS of NAZARETH; passing by…

They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” Luke 18:3

It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to see without the CAPACITY to Hear.

When the eyes are closed, either by sleep or in death, it is SOUND – words that can OPEN and restore SIGHT.

Although blind Bartimaeus was visionless, but he was not deaf – he still maintained his capacity to hear, and was still very careful about what he heard and how he listened – He had ear to hear, and he heard.

Mark 4:9

Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

It is totally DIFFICULT to see without the CAPACITY to Hear. Because, it is sound that produces light. Just as it was in the beginning, when God said “Let there be light, and there was light” –Genesis 1:3, so also the reality still remains today; SOUND is what produces LIGHT; WORD is what produces VISION.

Although, the WORD – Divine but definite sound has been God’s mechanism for producing light since the beginning, scientists are just coming to terms with this reality recently. They called it “Sonoluminescence”. The sonoluminescence effect was first discovered at the University of Cologne in 1934. Sonoluminescence can occur when a sound wave of sufficient intensity induces a gaseous cavity within a liquid to collapse quickly.

I am not a scientist, but this discovery really makes me marvel at God’s supernatural power to bring into existence anything and everything by His WORD; which include your vision.

Scientists say for Sonoluminescence to occur, a standing acoustic wave is set up within a liquid, and the bubble will sit at a pressure anti-node of the standing wave. The light flashes from the bubbles last between 35 and a few hundred picoseconds long, with peak intensities of the order of 1–10 MW. The bubbles are very small when they emit the light — about 1 micrometre in diameter — depending on the ambient fluid (e.g., water) and the gas content of the bubble (e.g., atmospheric air).

Now, let us cast our minds back to the beginning, when God SPOKE light into existence. The bible says darkness was over the surface of the deep of water that covered the earth, and that the Spirit of God was hovering upon it. Then He suddenly said, “Let there be light” and there was.

Genesis 1:1-3. The Message (MSG)

First this: God created the Heavens and Earth — all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.

God spoke: “Light!”

And light appeared.

The Message translation of the bible quoted above stated that God SPOKE “Light!” and light APPEARED.  What a SOUND? What an EFFECT?

It is double trouble for anyone to be BLIND and DEAF at the same time; so also, it is a tragic and critical condition for a man to be VISIONLESS in life and at the same time be FOOLISH [dull of hearing the sound of freedom, and its being unwise]

What activates vision is insight gained through information; hearing is the gateway to seeing; and hearing ONLY by the Word of God is what produces vision. But, woe unto him/her who is blind and cannot listen.

Psalm 119:130

The entrance of thy words gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple – the Visionless.

It would have been absolutely impossible for blind Bartimaeus to see again, and for his vision to be restored if he had also lost his capacity to hear along with his ability to see.

When you lack vision, the only way you can regain it is by hearing. Hearing is the only doorway through which you can gain insight that ignite vision.

Romans 10:14-15

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

What blind Bartimaeus was told was a casual news of Jesus of Nazareth passing by, but what he heard was, “this is my great chance for restoration, and this is my opportunity for everlasting freedom”

No wonder Jesus forewarned:

Mark 4:24

“Consider carefully what you hear”, he continued; with the measure you use, it will be measured to you – and even more.

Blind Bartimaeus, first and foremost gained insight from what he heard, and that insight eventually produced for him a FORESIGHT that restored his capacity for DIRECTION.

He was awoken to a reality by the information he had long waited to hear. He heard the news about the “passing by” of his maker, who is capable to restore his vision regardless of how he had lost it.

Friend, are you HEARING, and can you LISTEN?

Are you so casual and too lackadaisical about life so much more that you are out-rightly deaf to the sound of deliverance?

See, every life needs light to function with might on the track of destiny; the entrance of light is what brings the revelation of vision; and anyone that lacks vision heads for disaster of proportionate magnitude.

Luke 8:18

Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has, will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.

Vision is when you have a specific information for a definite direction in life; an explicit insight for an infinite light, sufficient for your journey to destiny.

Revelation from the Word of God is the propellant for vision; it is what ultimately generates vision.

Revelation can only come by hearing; hearing by the word of God.

Vision is a certain revelation from the word of God for a defined cause of action.

Vision has a lifecycle:

Hearing –> Knowledge –> Understanding –> Revelation –> Vision!

Hearing forms Knowledge, and Knowledge produces Understanding, and Understanding inspires Revelation, and Revelation ignites VISION.

Let me ask you, are you gaining insight at all, and all along by paying close attention to the understanding being revealed from the story of THIS Blind Bartimaeus – Perhaps YOU?

Mark 4:24

Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given–and you will receive even more.

Your restoration is locked within the reins of these insights; such as it was with blind Bartimaeus. From what Bartimaeus has heard about the restorer of sights and giver of vision, he suddenly realised that what he actually needed was to be ARMED with vision and not an endless dependency on ALMS – helps from men. Therefore, he decided to quit begging for alms, and he cried out to regain his sight.

As for you;

How long will you wait on people for direction?

How much will you depend on the crowd for information?

How long will you hang around people for survival?

And what will YOU do with the information of the messiah near you, and the news about the Lord Jesus Christ passing you by?

Will you cry out and stop him to attend to you?

Remember this!

When you hear the Sound –the WORD, You will have the Light – the VISION, and be empowered for Action – the DIRECTION!

I pray for you, that as you cry out for specific vision, God will grant unto you in Jesus Name.
