A Certain OUTCRY; Son of David, have mercy on me…

He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Luke 18:38

Until you grasp a definite insight for a specific purpose to fulfil in God’s ultimate Agenda from His written word, Vision CANNOT be yours!

In the maturation of vision, revelation is the mother of Vision, and every vision is a projection of a specific and instructive revelation.

Revelation from the Word of God is the propellant for vision; it is what ultimately generates vision.

Vision can only come by the way of exposure to the Word of God, because vision is a certain instructional revelation from the word of God for a specific assignment to be carried out by you in the fulfilment of God’s Plan, Purpose, and Will to the whole world around you.

Profoundly, Blind Bartimaeus outcry is noteworthy; remember, the crowd informed him about a “Jesus of Nazareth passing by….” Luke 18:37, how come he called out to a “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” instead– Luke 18:38?

Revelation – his understanding and revelation of the personality of Jesus Christ was simply beyond what he was told by the crowd. He had a depth of insight sufficient enough to provoke an outcry that engendered vision for his life.

See, you cannot have vision in life and arrive the shores of destiny if all you know about God is what others tell you about him. If all you can say you know about God is what you have heard from people or from pulpits, then, you are a subject of manipulation and you will grope in darkness for a long time.

Blind Bartimaeus heard the information about Jesus of Nazareth, but he mixed the information with a knowledge–based faith in his heart until it became a revelation through which he understood what he wanted – Mercy, and knew how to present his request – with effectual fervency.

He caught insight from what was written by Prophet Isaiah, and his understanding got opened to the covenant of the sure MERCIES of DAVID, and he used this revelation as a reinforcement for his outcry for mercy

Isaiah 55:3

“Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the SURE Mercies of David.”

Consequently, he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

This was extremely effective to have STOPPED Jesus; who suspended all procession and paused all activities, and ORDERED with an immediately decree that the man be brought to him for an immediate attention.

Like Blind Bartimaeus;

Let your outcry for mercy be based on revelation and not emotion.

Let it be based on insight from the Word and not the spotlight of the World.

Let it be a result of a private and diligent labour in the word of God, and not a public and negligent harbour in the world of men.

James 5:16b

….The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

He may have been blind, but he was not deaf to divine realities nor negligent of the truth.

John 8:32

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The question is not what you have heard about Jesus Christ. But, the issue is how have you personally perceived and received Him?

Your deliverance in not in shouting or typing AMEN to the prayers of men; that is not what God hears or answers. Such activities are mere displays of pervasive ignorance.

The key to your miracles and blessing is to first and foremost have a private encounter with the word of God, and secure a personal revelation with which you can knock the gates of heaven.

Luke 8:18 Amplified Bible (AMP)

So, be careful how you listen; for whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a longing for truth], even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”

Up until now, you may have been visionless in life, but your restoration and release of fresh vision is anchored on the revelation that comes through the word of God that you know.

Many at times we base our sense of need or vision on people’s opinion and estimate; we consequently miss our blessings.

Jesus ask his disciples, beyond what men say I AM, who do you say that I AM, because it is only upon a personal revelation the authority of vision can be established.

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” And based on Peter’s personal revelation of Christ and not upon hearsay from men, Jesus said “And I say also unto you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18

Do you really know God?

Just imagine if blind Bartimaeus did not have a revelation of the sure mercies of David; Jesus would have passed him by, and he would not have been able to see ever in his life.

I decree that the eyes of your heart be enlightened with understanding in Jesus name!
