A Certain PURPOSE; he received his sight and followed Jesus…

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. v43

WHAT is the Divine TEMPLATE for your EXISTENCE?

This question is the BOTTOM-LINE and a SPRINGBOARD for a meaningful destiny; without you coming to this fundamental realization, your lifespan is a waste and your whole life is meaningless.

Vision is all about coming to an UNDERSTANDING of the PURPOSE for which you were born and gifted LIFE.

“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher.

“Vanity of vanities! All [that is done without God’s guidance] is vanity [futile, meaningless—a wisp of smoke, a vapour that vanishes, merely chasing the wind].” Ecclesiastes 1:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The reason you may have been blind of vision might be because of a lack of understanding of God’s will and plan for your life, and your quest and chase after that which is outside of divine template for your being.

The GLORY of your life is embedded in the WILL, PURPOSE and COUNSEL of God for your life –DISCOVER IT!

Your Earthly Blessings, and Eternal Livelihood is locked beneath the KNOWLEDGE of your ROLE and the UNDERSTANDING of your RESPONSIBILITY in God’s global plan and ultimate agenda for creation – UNLOCK IT!

Therefore, do not be foolish, thoughtless, and visionless.  Don’t waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, and the barren pursuits of darkness.

In Luke 18:43, It was later revealed concerning blind Bartimaeus that, the very motive behind his persistent outcry for vision was because he came to a late but URGENT realization to follow God’s Will and Plan for his life, namely: JESUS CHRIST; “And immediately he received his sight, and HE FOLLOWED HIM –JESUS, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.” v43.

When Bartimaeus got to the realisation of his purpose in Life, which was to follow Jesus about, glorifying God, his eyes were opened and his life was transformed; his life became an object of praise other than an object of shame.

See, these are desperate times! You MUST begin to MAKE the most of every opportunity of time –LIFE you get has a chance to make your life count unto a meaningful end; fulfilling God’s will and executing His plan for your life.

Live life, then, with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning and purpose of life but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the difficulties of these days. Don’t be vague but firmly grasp what you know to be the will of God. Don’t get your stimulus from wine (for there is always the danger of excessive drinking), but let the Spirit stimulate your souls. –Ephesians 5:16-21 J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

For so long a time, Bartimaeus was blindfolded with the ambition of a profession – highway begging; and not until he came to a frustrating end, yet he couldn’t activate his purpose for living. So then, we learnt that, a profession is not equal to vision, nor occupation translates to mission; rather a profession or occupation in which you are engaged to make ends meet, and for daily survival, without a primary discovery of PURPOSE and understanding of the WILL of God for your life will end in frustration and regrets.

Your question now is: How then, can I KNOW God’s WILL and PURPOSE for my Life?

Really, it isn’t difficult!

The basic foundation for knowing God’s Will and Purpose for your life is to First and Foremost know God through JESUS CHRIST. That is, you MUST know JESUS CHRIST and ACCEPT his invitation of salvation and RECEIVE him as your LORD. Without this SOLITARY and FUNDAMENTAL step, NO MAN will SEE God or KNOW His will for life.

Jesus said… “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me – John 14:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

You see, knowing Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth is the only key to unlock the mind and the visions of God for your life. Other ways are sinking grounds, and they’ll lead to a disastrous end.

Do you truly know Jesus Christ deep within your heart, and not just professing His name merely from your lips?

Knowing the correct password — saying ‘Master, Jesus,’ for instance — isn’t going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience — doing what my Father wills. – Matthew 7:21 The Message (MSG)

Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They may refer to me as ‘Lord,’ but still won’t get to heaven. For the decisive question is whether they obey my Father in heaven. – Matthew 7:21 Living Bible (TLB)

Once you have a sure foundation by accepting Jesus Christ Genuinely and Intimately; here are four simple steps that will help you. They’re not exclusive, and may appear too simple for you. But I tell you, they work:

  1. You want wisdom, vision, and purpose in life?

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete – John 16:24.  God is saying, “Hello, I’m here. I made you. Trust me.”

  1. God will not “tell” you to do something that is against His righteous character or contrary to the principles in His Word. His Word is powerful, bringing instruction, correction, training, and equipping us thoroughly “for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  1. WAIT. Waiting is not always easy and not a favourite thing to do. Yet you will discover that God sometimes delays His clear-cut answers to cultivate our trust in Him alone – and not on our own wisdom. Unfortunately, I often learned that the hard way!

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

  1. Stay faithful to His revealed WILL however little or vague, keep growing, stop worrying, and obey God with the light that He has given you.

“Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God.” – Isaiah 50:10

Bartimaeus’s Journey to Vision, Purpose, and Fulfilment may have been long, but it was a WORTH-THE-WHILE journey to Jesus Christ; he found HIM, he asked of HIM, he listened about HIM, he waited upon HIM, and he obeyed HIM, and ultimately followed HIM unto a glorious fulfilment.

As you seek God and His Will, Purpose, and Plan for your life through Jesus Christ; may you find Him, and be firmly rooted in His Will and Destiny. In the Name of Jesus Christ!
