Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” Luke 18:42
This is trustworthy!
God’s power will have no effect in your life, if there is no trigger of faith from your heart to propel its force for expected impact.
Divine power CANNOT produce an Effect WITHOUT Faith from whom to Affect.
Jesus reckoned and acknowledged that it was Bartimaeus’ faith that actually healed him and not really His (Jesus) immediate power.
“Your faith has made you well.” Your faith. Why didn’t Jesus say, “God has made you well.”? Why didn’t he say, “I have made you well.”? No. He said, “Your faith has made you well.” Blind Bartimaeus had the kind of faith that enabled vision to flow out of Jesus into his blind eye sockets.
God is a faithful rewarder; a great rewarder of faith.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Vision for the impossible or the unattainable can only be RELEASED and RECEIVED through FAITH alone.
It is impossible to secure anything from God WITHOUT Faith in God, and absolute Trust in His ability to do that which Him alone can do.
For Bartimaeus, although it was too late for him to talk about vision, and less possible for him securing his sight. But by faith, he obtained the impossible.
Faith is an unwavering persistence, and a realization of a certain need that moves you into a perpetual outcry for a divine release of power for accomplishment. And not until there is a manifestation, you’ll stop at nothing with God.
Faith is only an instrument, and not the power itself.
When Jesus said, “Your faith has made you well,” He was saying that your faith (your confidence in Him) had been the means of your restoration.
The kind of Vision that comes through Faith MUST have its object on Christ – the giver, and not Idol – the object of your own ambition.
You need to make sure that you haven’t put your faith in an idol. An idol is a god you can manipulate. You serve this god in order to get him to do what you want him to do.
The Israelites, at the foot of Mt. Sinai, said to Aaron, the priest, “Come on, make us a god we can see! A god who isn’t so scary.” – Exodus 32:1-6
“No problem,” says Aaron. “Give me your gold.”
You can turn anything into an idol. An idol is so much more convenient! You can make your idol work for you. The minute you try to make Jesus serve your ends, you don’t have Jesus, you have an idol.
“O, he’s going to make me prosperous!” “O, he’s going to smooth out my road.” Now, instead of me serving him, I’m trying to make him serve me – This is not VISION but AMBITION.
That’s not the kind of faith that will release vision into your life.
Faith comes by hearing. Blind Bartimaeus heard something that went down into his heart and caused him to believe. He could not see Jesus, but he too heard something that burned in his heart, and caused him to believe.
When you hear what he heard, when the word of the Lord gets down into your hearts — convicts you — catches fire in you — you too will have a faith in him that will make you whole with Vision.
It takes FAITH to receive a release of God’s providence into your life!
Faith is like a seed which God has planted in your heart and mine.
It’s there now.
It will grow.
It will do mighty things, if you pay attention to the One who is giving it to you.
Dear Friend, I pray for you, that with FAITH in your heart, you will RECEIVE the RELEASE of VISION into your life for good success and ultimate fulfilment in Jesus Name!
