The Christian and his Mission
A veiled reality is that every believer is a missionary by calling; Jesus has given you and I, a mandate to execute with a mission statement.
The mandate of the Great Commission is the business unto which you have been commissioned to administer.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
A mission-oriented believer is an invasive crusader with a sense of urgency, adequacy, and accuracy about this kingdom business; an invader and not an evader.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”
If you are sensitive and responsive to the Great Commission, you won’t be a mere talker of doctrine, but a taker of territory; not conversing pious mysteries to the mind but converting the spirit of men with the certainty of Eternal realities; not is expressing the manifolds of religion but impressing the consciousness Christ upon the soul.
Primarily, a mission-oriented believer is a disciple of Jesus Christ who is fully conscious of the mandate of the Great Commission, and who is available to execute it in all preparedness and with ready obedience.
He is predominantly under Divine influence to proclaim Jesus Christ to the world as Savior and Lord. While His personal resolution and conviction is to know or project nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2)
“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision.”
A Missionary is a heavenly visionary with a purpose to execute the will of God on earth according to the pattern given from heaven; he is a faithful and ambitious servant; whose passion is to do the work of God among men; and neither for personal gains and comfort nor for accolades from men.
Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work. John 4:33-35 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ” Galatians 1:10
A Christian on mission is a Life Giver, and courageous and compassionate soldier of the cross. He is an individual who is compelled by the love of God to give life to dead beings and make them alive in Christ unto God.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
Are you a Christian on mission with Christ?
Necessity is laid on you to Execute your Mandate; and woe unto you if you do not finish His work.
Awake, and serve; not only out of duty but with LOVE!
